I'm honored to announce that the Kyrie from my "New Gothic Mass" is now a Finalist for the American Prize. in composition! In addition, it looks like "The Automaton" also made the semi-finalists in the chamber division.

Choral Chameleon did an excellent job with the premiere of "To Autumn" tonight at their institute, and many thanks to soprano Liz Hanna for her masterful solo in the premiere! A great concert all around.

Kyle Randall has been named a finalist for the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award! The piece submitted was the Kyrie from the upcoming "Gothic Mass" on May 16, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

"Morning" for mezzo soprano has won first prize at the 6th Biennial Art Song Competition at San Francisco Conservatory! Congratulations and thank you to Nicole Shorts and Kangmin Shin, who did an amazing job performing it! Recordings to come soon.

The International Low Brass Trio premiered my piece "Chorale and Dance" this past Saturday, and played brilliantly. If you want to hear it, the recording is now up in several places: on their Soundcloud and Youtube accounts, and soon on this website as well!

"The Bestiary volume 1" was premiered tonight with great success by the San Francisco Conservatory New Music Ensemble! Conductor Jacques Desjardins and the members of the ensemble did a remarkable job. You can see the performance here, or listen here!

String Quartet Number 1 is complete! You can hear a preview of the full piece on the Music page or on Soundcloud. Come and see the world premiere on May 6, 2013 in Paine Hall, Harvard Yard, Cambridge, MA. The concert will also feature work by fellow Harvard senior, Zach Sheets, and the quartet will include Stella Chen, Ariel Mitnick, Rainer Crosett, and DJ Cheek.
